It's been a long time since there was an update, so here's a FAQ based on responses to Formulas (spoilers ahead)...

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: Will there be a sequel?
  • A: Possibly, but doubtful. It was intentionally left open for one, but there were so many problems that came up during filming that most of us don't have any desire to do a followup.
  • Q: How was Barbara running around as Batgirl after she got shot?
  • A: Who said it was taking place in order? She was shot after that second rooftop conversation with Batman.
  • Q: What was the main title/montage/end credits music?
  • A: Plecotus, the credits theme from Batman Begins. It's not on the score, but if you search online you can find it.
  • Q: How was the Riddler hologram made?
  • A: Lightwave 7.5 was used for the modeling and animation. Compositing was done in Final Cut Pro.
  • Q: Joker only hit Robin three or four times in the comic!
  • A: Well, that's not really a question...but he's a sadistic, completely insane homicidal maniac. Do you REALLY think that he'd stop after three or four? He'd make sure Jason was dead. No coming back to life after Superboy punches a crystal wall (DC, taking notes?).
  • Q: So Two-Face was behind the entire thing?
  • A: Up to interpretation, but it certainly seems that way, doesn't it?
  • Q: It's not as good as Dead End or Patient J.
  • A: Again, that's not really a question...but Dead End was essentially just a special effects reel, while Patient J is about the Joker's psychology. Formulas is about the interaction between Batman and Joker. And yes, the "I made you, you made me" conversation that everyone uses was deliberately avoided in Formulas.
  • Q: I want a DVD!
  • A: Email us.
  • Q: So what's next?
  • A: Check out the Toxic Lipstick Productions and Crane Films websites for more details.
